Methodology

Iovari does not consult a table of pre-written interpretations. It computes a chart from an instant and a place on the earth, and every number a reading quotes comes out of that computation.

Positions come from the Swiss Ephemeris, build 2.10.03, running in a service of our own that does nothing else. The data files are the standard compressed set covering 1800 to 2399 CE.

Every reading records the ephemeris build it was generated against, so a reading written today remains reproducible after the library is upgraded.

Astrology is not one thing. It is several traditions that disagree with each other, sometimes sharply. Iovari does not blend them into an average. Each reading is written inside one tradition, and every claim is tagged with the tradition it came from.

Which of these are in play depends on the strategy a reading is written under. See the tiers for what each account can reach.

The chart is computed first, in full, and serialised into the prompt as data: positions, houses, aspects with their exact orbs, dignities, and any timing techniques the strategy calls for. The model does not calculate anything. It is given the arithmetic and asked to read it.

That order matters. A language model asked to compute a chart will produce plausible degrees that are wrong, and it will produce them confidently. Doing the astronomy first and the prose second is the difference between a reading that can be checked and one that cannot.

The strategy contributes a knowledge prefix - the tradition's own terms and rules - and a customised strategy appends its differences after that, so your changes override the school rather than the other way round.

A citation on a sentence means: this claim rests on this technique, applied to this placement, at this orb. It is a pointer into the computation, not a reference to a book.

When a reading says Saturn square Moon, orb 0°04', Traditional, all four parts are checkable. The bodies and the aspect come from the chart. The orb is the real separation at the moment cast. The tradition names whose rules were used to decide the claim follows.

A sentence with no citation is doing something else - framing, summarising, asking a question. Those are allowed to exist. They are not allowed to make claims about the chart.

The computation is astronomy and it is accurate. The interpretation is a tradition of reading symbols, and it is not a science. We are not going to blur that line to sell a subscription.

• That astrology predicts events. It does not, and Iovari will not pretend otherwise.
• That any reading here is medical, legal, financial or psychiatric advice. It is none of those.
• That the traditions agree. They do not, and a reading in one voice would be written differently in another.
• That a chart determines a person. The chart describes a field; what anyone does inside it stays theirs.
